About the Somos Internship Program
The Somos Internship Program offers students a direct line to our organization and the opportunity to accelerate their future with us. Through hands-on projects, active coaching, and cross-functional collaboration, you’ll gain valuable, real-world experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Interns work alongside industry leaders, subject matter experts, and dedicated mentors who are passionate about helping you grow. You’ll contribute to impactful initiatives while becoming part of a community focused on developing future leaders.
Our 2026 Summer Program features full-time, paid internships running from June 1 to August 21. This is a non-exempt role with a pay range of $28.00–$33.00 per hour.

Eligibility Requirements:

This internship is remote, but candidates must reside within the United States during the program.

Applicants must be currently enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students in a degree-granting program at an accredited college or university.

A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.

Candidates must be available to work full time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the program, from June 1 through August 21.

Final selection is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
Working closely with the department, the Intern will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Providing general support across recruiting, talent pipeline development, and onboarding activities.
- Assisting with networking and outreach efforts to help build and strengthen potential talent pipelines.
- Conducting internet research and supporting special projects as assigned.
- Contributing to the enhancement of recruiting dashboards and scorecards, helping to refine and interpret key talent metrics.
- Maintaining accurate and timely data entry, monitoring weekly trends in resource categories, and applying analytical thinking to optimize data and reporting.
- Supporting HR operations, including assisting with setup and coordination of departmental activities.
- Collaborating on culture and engagement initiatives such as Voice of the Employee (VOE) programs—researching ideas, assisting with project management, and driving participation.
- Participating in job shadowing or rotational learning opportunities within Human Resources to gain broad exposure.
- Assisting with the digitization and organization of HR records.
- Performing additional duties and projects as assigned.
Major Initiatives:
- Contribute to the Intern Capstone Project
- Support initiatives that strengthen Somos’s employer brand through creative ideas, research, and execution support.
- Collaborate with the team on programs that develop employee skills and expand future talent pipelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current senior undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines effectively.
- Proactive and eager to learn, demonstrating initiative in taking on new challenges.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally and positively across all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated, quick to learn, and committed to developing a career in Human Resources.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous internship or relevant experience in Human Resources.
