Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a DC license, 2 years of L&D experience, and advanced certifications.
Details
- Work in a hospital labor and delivery unit
- Care for pregnant patients from 17 weeks gestation through delivery, including scheduled procedures and triage
- Unit activities include admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and both vaginal and C-section deliveries
- Uses fetal monitors and electronic documentation systems, including Cerner and Fetalink
- Day shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required
- Minimum 2 years recent L&D experience in a US hospital
- Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring
- Cerner experience required
- Must provide two manager or supervisor references from the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Candidate must provide SSN, date of birth, driver’s license, and all current certifications for consideration
- No pending licenses accepted
Additional Information
- Care for patients needing C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage, and triage evaluation
- Documentation is completed in Cerner and Fetalink
- Position requires CPI certification
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as scheduled
- Scrub or dress code information not specified
- Candidates must live more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler
