Accounts Receivable Specialist - Manufacturing Industry

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist with manufacturing industry experience to oversee credit, collections, and billing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role partners with leadership to improve cash flow, reduce receivables aging, and support operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day credit, collections, and billing activities
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance development of AR team members
• Identify and resolve high-risk or aged receivable accounts
• Analyze collection trends and prepare KPI and performance reports
• Oversee resolution of unapplied cash, short payments, chargebacks, and account discrepancies
• Evaluate customer credit risk and recommend credit actions
• Implement strategies to improve cash flow and reduce AR aging
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while partnering closely with internal teams
• Manage month-end close activities for accounts receivable
• Support special projects and process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
• Required: Accounts Receivable experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, etc.)
• ERP system experience required (Microsoft D365 preferred)
• Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
• High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality
