Neulife Rehabilitation of Michigan, Inc. provides post-acute rehabilitation and residential services for individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Spinal Cord Injuries, and Neurological Disorders.

*Overview*

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals improve their communication skills and enhance their quality of life through speech therapy.

*Duties*

  • Conducts clinical screens and assessments to diagnose persons served with speech and language disorders to develop a comprehensive understanding of their conditions and treatment plan.
  • Develops individualized programs that outline goals, interventions and expected outcomes based on medically prescribed treatment.
  • May perform additional assigned administrative duties such as: assigning and overseeing patient care activities, medical record oversight, ordering supplies, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with company standards.
  • Educates persons served, families and staff about their conditions, treatment options and strategies for self-management and prevention.
  • Continuously assess and document persons served progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Attend persons served team meetings or other relevant meetings as needed with correlated reporting as warranted.
  • Adhere to all professional speech-language pathology licensure and accreditation standards to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities.
  • Responsible for service and operational excellence of all assigned activities to ensure the delivery of quality services and/or outcomes required to meet or exceed the expectations of those utilizing or impacted by the department.
  • Exhibits courtesy, compassion and respect to patients, families, care givers, visitors, physicians, administrators and co-workers.

*Qualifications*

  • Master's degree of Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathology (current license in any state) and willing to obtain Michigan license upon hire
  • One year experience in working with developmentally disabled or catastrophically injured individuals, including traumatic brain injury
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and have the ability to prioritize independently
