Summary:
In preparation for the 2026 elections, the Election Department seeks the services of one (1) qualified temporary Training and Recruitment Project Manager from the date of hire through December 31, 2026. This position will supplement existing full-time staff within the Training and Recruitment Division by providing dedicated project oversight, cross-functional coordination, and risk mitigation. The Project Manager will ensure critical initiatives remain on schedule and within scope, allowing permanent staff to focus on operational execution.
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, tracking, and reporting on recruitment and training initiatives associated with election staffing and readiness for the 2026 election cycle.
Recruitment Responsibilities
The Project Manager will oversee recruitment-related projects designed to support increased staffing demands and community outreach efforts.
Develop, maintain, and manage a comprehensive voter equipment demonstration schedule aligned with recruitment and outreach goals.
Coordinate all logistical aspects of voter equipment demonstrations, including collaboration with internal election teams, warehouse operations, and external partners or vendors.
Conduct and/or coordinate pre-demonstration site assessments to evaluate space, accessibility, power, security, and operational readiness.
Develop and manage a targeted recruitment strategy, including an outreach calendar, to support election worker hiring needs across all regions.
Coordinate and support participation in job fairs, community events, and outreach activities, with particular emphasis on hard-to-recruit or underserved areas.
Track recruitment activities, outcomes, and metrics, and provide regular status updates to division leadership.
Training Responsibilities
The Project Manager will lead and coordinate projects related to election worker training programs and materials.
Manage and serve as the primary point of contact for the training partnership with the Office of Employee Engagement and Performance.
Develop and monitor benchmarks, timelines, milestones, and deliverables to support continuous improvement of training programs.
Coordinate training-related tasks and deliverables across internal staff, subject matter experts, and external partners.
Support trainer scheduling, workload coordination, and performance management in collaboration with Training leadership.
Oversee the planning, production, review, and editing of training videos and multimedia materials, including coordination with other County departments as needed.
Ensure training materials and delivery methods align with election procedures, operational requirements, and accessibility standards.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Project Management, Training, Human Resources, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
Minimum of 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably supporting recruitment, training, or large-scale operational initiatives
Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional teams, timelines, milestones, and deliverables
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Experience planning and supporting events, outreach activities, or public-facing demonstrations
Ability to track metrics, analyze progress, and provide clear status reporting to leadership
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder coordination
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and project tracking tools
Experience working in a government, public sector, or compliance-driven environment preferred
Ability to work fully on-site in North Las Vegas, NV
Ability to pass a criminal background check
