Upstream Product Marketing Manager

Bay Area - 4 days onsite (required)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep market research to identify unmet clinical needs and earlystage product opportunities.
  • Lead voiceofcustomer (VOC) initiatives and translate insights into product requirements and concepts.
  • Build business cases, market models, and strategic recommendations for new product investments.
  • Partner with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and Engineering teams during early product development.
  • Support prototype evaluations, field testing, and customer feedback cycles.
  • Define upstream value propositions, positioning, and strategic rationale for future product launches.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and drive crossfunctional alignment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years upstream product marketing or earlystage product management experience
  • Medical Device experience required, preferably in orthopedics, spine, and wound care
  • Strong skills in market analysis, competitive research, and customer insights development.
  • Proven ability to translate clinical and market insights into structured product requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence crossfunctional teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a fastpaced, collaborative environment;
  • Ability to work onsite 4 days/week.
