Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time speech-language pathologist (SLP) is needed to support K-12 students within a school setting in Central Point, OR. This contract position is based in Jackson County and runs through the current school year until June 4, 2026. The role requires in-person attendance from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM daily, providing direct support to students across all grade levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Oregon SLP licensure is required
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in school environments
- Expertise in school-based evidence-based practices for speech and language interventions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators and families
Location:
- Central Point, OR (Jackson County)
- In-person work only, no virtual or telepractice options available
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and targeted therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with regulatory and district policies
- Participate in team meetings and provide professional input and training as needed
