Job Title: Roosevelt Evening Custodian 

Job Summary: Faribault Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and reliable Evening Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the school facilities Monday through Friday, during the evening hours from 2:45 pm -10:45 pm. This position is crucial in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors.

Essential Functions: 

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing all areas of the school.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in classrooms, hallways, offices, cafeterias, and other school areas.
• Ensure all entryways and exits are clean and accessible.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with setting up and tearing down for school events or activities as required.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and school policies.
• Secure the building at the end of the shift, ensuring all doors and windows are locked.

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent, reliable and able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, standing for extended periods, strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards, good communication skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. 

Pay: Starting salary is $24.05 per hour. All health and benefits information can be found on the Custodian contract linked .

 Licensure:  Must have valid driver's license
