Fiberglass Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare molds and surfaces for fiberglass application, including cleaning, waxing, and applying gel coat as needed
• Operate fiberglass spray equipment such as chopper guns or resin spray systems
• Mix and apply resins, catalysts, and fiberglass matting materials according to specifications
• Ensure proper thickness, coverage, and finish quality of applied materials
• Follow all safety procedures and consistently wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain and perform routine cleaning and maintenance of spray equipment
• Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure quality standards are met
• Assist with other fiberglass fabrication tasks as needed to support team goals

Qualifications

• Experience in fiberglass spraying or composite manufacturing preferred
• Familiarity with chopper gun and spray-up techniques
• Ability to read and interpret work orders or technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a shop environment
• Ability to work in a ventilated area while wearing protective gear
• Dedication to maintaining a safe workplace

Compensation

$20.00 $26.00 per hour, depending on experience
