American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position in an Intermediate Neurosciences & ENT Unit, with ACLS and NIHSS certifications required and a high likelihood of charge and preceptor responsibilities each shift.

- 18-bed Intermediate Neurosciences & ENT Unit within a hospital setting, including 4 epilepsy monitoring beds \n
- Patient population includes stroke, tumors, epilepsy, spine injury, neuromuscular and neurodegenerative conditions, neurotrauma, CNS infections, and ENT malignancies \n
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week) \n
- Every other weekend (EOW) required \n
- Every other holiday (EOH) required \n
- No on-call requirements \n
- 13-week contract \n

- Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand \n
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS, and NIHSS \n
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required \n
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred \n
- Two professional references required for consideration \n

- Candidates should be prepared to serve in a charge nurse or preceptor role on a near-daily basis \n
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process \n
- Responsibilities include complex patient assessment, care planning, patient and family education, and discharge planning \n
- Unit is part of a nationally recognized neurosciences program delivering collaborative, compassionate care \n
- A background check and drug screen are required; candidates should be prepared to complete the drug screen within 24 hours of commitment \n
