American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Neuro ENT Progressive Care Unit position requiring ACLS, NIHSS, charge, and precepting experience on night shifts with every-other-weekend availability.
Details- Intermediate Neuro ENT Care Unit within a hospital setting
- Neurological and ENT patient population with complex care needs
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Every other holiday (EOH) required
- No on-call responsibilities
- 14-week contract
- Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact license with NC privilege) required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS, and NIHSS
- Charge nurse and precepting experience required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Delivers competent clinical nursing care to patients with complex neurological and ENT conditions using the nursing process
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams for care planning, evaluation, and discharge coordination
- Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required by the patient care plan
- Participates in unit performance improvement activities and professional development
- BSN or MSN is preferred but not required
- Drug screening results are required prior to start; candidates should be prepared to complete screening promptly upon accepting an offer
