Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Looking for an impactful role supporting students across multiple campuses? This full-time physical therapy opportunity serves a diverse district near Paterson, NJ, with positions spanning several schools and grade levels K-12. The assignment begins September 4, 2026, and continues through June 25, 2027, offering a dynamic experience working with different teams, environments, and caseloads.
Key Requirements:
- Valid New Jersey Physical Therapist license
- Experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites within the district
- Willingness to complete all district and state-mandated onboarding, including a TB test, recent physical examination, and fingerprinting
- Comfortable participating in a virtual interview via Zoom
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct PT services to K-12 students as outlined in IEPs and 504 plans
- Evaluate students’ motor development, functional mobility, and access needs across school environments
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other staff
- Document services, student progress, and maintain compliance with state and district reporting requirements
- Act as a resource and advocate for physical accessibility within district schools
- Contribute to professional development, team meetings, and support staff and family education
This district-wide contract role offers a regular Monday-Friday schedule from 8:30AM to 3:15PM, with 35 hours of meaningful work each week.
