Director of Revenue Management
Reports to: General Manager
Department: Revenue Management
Position Summary
The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for maximizing total hotel revenue through strategic pricing, inventory management, forecasting, and market analysis. This role oversees room revenue, distribution channels, and demand strategies while collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to drive profitability and optimize RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Strategy & Yield Management
- Develop and execute revenue strategies to maximize RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy
- Set pricing strategies based on demand, market conditions, and competitive analysis
- Optimize room inventory allocation across all distribution channels
Forecasting & Budgeting
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual revenue forecasts
- Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecast updates
- Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions
Distribution & Channel Management
- Manage OTA, GDS, brand.com, and direct booking strategies
- Monitor channel costs, commissions, and profitability
- Ensure rate parity and content accuracy across all platforms
Market & Competitive Analysis
- Conduct ongoing competitive set analysis and market trend evaluations
- Monitor demand drivers, seasonality, and local events
- Leverage STR and other benchmarking tools to assess performance
Sales & Marketing Collaboration
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to align pricing with group, transient, and corporate strategies
- Support promotional campaigns and packaging decisions
- Provide data-driven insights to optimize segmentation and mix
Systems & Technology
- Manage and optimize RMS, PMS, CRS, and channel management systems
- Ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy
- Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements
Leadership & Training
- Lead and develop the revenue management team
- Train property leadership on revenue strategies and performance metrics
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Finance, or related field
5–8+ years of progressive experience in hotel revenue management
Strong knowledge of hotel pricing, forecasting, and distribution strategies
Experience with Hyatt brand systems or IDeaS RMS.
This position is based on property.

Experience with luxury, lifestyle, or resort properties
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
