Segue Inc., a non-profit outpatient mental health facility with a distinguished history of delivering high-quality mental health services to the residents of Jackson and Hillsdale counties in Michigan for over three decades, is actively seeking a dedicated full-time Program Assistant to join our team at our Jackson, MI office.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Program Assistant's role encompasses various administrative office responsibilities. These include tasks such as typing, faxing, and scanning documents into our Electronic Medical Records system, managing incoming calls via a multi-line telephone network, providing support to our staff, and welcoming clients and visitors.

Additionally, the Program Assistant aids our staff in handling due document lists, consents, and fee determinations. They are also responsible for sending requests for records related to social security benefits to MDHHS and SSA.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED for CONSIDERATION

• A verifiable High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Professional Office Suite.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and a multi-line telephone system.
• Strong data entry skills are required. Experience in dealing with patients, including scheduling appointments, collecting patient information, and providing excellent customer service sensitively and compassionately.
• Familiarity with the procedures, regulations, and ethical guidelines related to mental health services; this includes understanding patient confidentiality and privacy laws like HIPAA.
• Experience in dealing with individuals living with serious mental health challenges is preferred.
• The ability to provide excellent customer service sensitively is required.
