The Door Machine Operator is a mid-level position that performs repetitive operations to mass-produce products such as doors and millwork by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately measure and position materials for door fabrication
• Prep doors using a Norfield Magnum door machine to bore and hinge prep
• Fasten products, using hinges, screws and other material or equipment
• Cut products to specific measurements
• Able to identify and resolve issues with machinery
• Tend to machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line
• Works at different workstations as production needs require
• Works in an environment where tasks change as varying models of product are produced
• Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Experience with door a door machine preferred, other manufacturing machine experience will be considered
• Experience with a Norfield Magnum preferred
• Understand the operation and maintenance of door machine preferred
• Carpentry and door shop experience preferred
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
• Ability to communicate effectively to present information, in both individual and small group situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, required
• Ability to read a tape measure, required
• Ability to problem solve concrete variables in standardized situations, preferred

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand; use hands for fine manipulation, handle tools and product, or feel and reach with hands and arms
• Able to communicate with others verbally in person, via phone, walkie-talkie or other communication device. Able to hear others talking and hear warning sounds from forklifts and machinery
• Frequently walk while performing duties, occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Able to continuously lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously exposed to moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to airborne particles
• The noise level in the work environment can be constant and can be loud

Position located in our Oroville, CA location.

Full-Time. 40 hours per week. Store is open Monday through Friday

Starting pay range: $22-26 / DOE
