Job Description
We Are Hiring:
Position: Experienced Press Operator (Flexographic)
Location: Woodland, WA
Pay: $23.56 – $38.29 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, on-site, Occasional Mandatory Overtime

What You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate a variety of Flexographic cell presses:
- Paper press: runs up to 10 colors, water-based inks (W&H60 MIRAFLEX CL-10 color)
- Film press: runs up to 8 colors, solvent-based inks (UTECO ONYX, 34" and 50")
- Oversee the production process from printing/film, drying, food-safe lamination, slitting, and converting material into bags or pouches ready for delivery
- Read and follow work orders and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Continuously monitor print quality, including ink density, dot gain, color, register, repeat, web width, and print-to-start
- Report maintenance issues immediately when identified
- Manage roll tags to ensure accurate paper/film usage and inventory
- Perform proper startup, cleanup, and shutdown procedures
- Accurately complete and maintain QC database entries at job start-up and completion of each printed roll
- Provide leadership and guidance to 1–2 operators, including training, workflow coordination, and performance oversight

What You Need to Have:
- Flexographic printing experience
- Ability to read and understand printing terminology and work orders
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Flexibility to work overtime when needed
The Musts:
- 3–5 years of flexographic press operator experience
- Experience with wide web and CI presses
- 3–5 years printing with water-based and solvent-based inks
- Understanding of film and paper web tension and taper
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and communicate corrective actions
- Experience using X-Rite spectrodensitometer color proofing systems
- Solid understanding of color theory
- Experience supervising 1–2 operators or small team leadership
Preferred:
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
- Experience with food-safe lamination and pouch/bag production
