QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities

1. Physically fit and able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
2. Ability to acquire a current Commercial Driver's License with appropriate endorsements for driving school buses
3. Any alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor

JOB GOAL: To assist in maintaining the buses in such a state of operating excellence that they present no problems or interruptions to the educational program

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ability to repair and maintain bus engines, including changing tires, brakes, oil,
2. Ability to proficiently perform mechanical work as requested by supervisor.
3. Conforms with all state laws and regulations regarding school
4. Maintains a current inventory of supplies and
5. Assists with retrieving broken down buses, buses from ditches,
6. Obeys all traffic
7. Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school
8. Maintains discipline when students are on
9. Assists in keeping buses
10. Keeps assigned
11. Keeps work area clean and
12. Maintains professional and courteous relationships with all school
13. Performs other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position as assigned by the transportation supervisor or Superintendent.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month contract

EVALUATION: The performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board's policy
