American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown (HVTI) position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of Stepdown experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

- Work in the HVTI-Stepdown unit of a large academic medical center in Cleveland, OH \n
- Potential to float to other units (J1-2, J33) and the ED to care for the same patient population \n
- Day/night rotating schedule working 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) \n
- Shifts may vary based on operational needs of the facility \n
- \n
- Active OH RN license (permanent) or compact state RN license currently in hand \n
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required — all must be active with nothing pending \n
- Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Stepdown or a related specialty \n
- Minimum 18 months of recent Stepdown experience required; travel experience will be accepted \n
- PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred but not required \n
- Two professional references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from assignments worked within the past 12 months \n
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration \n

- Local candidates are accepted for this position \n
- Must work at least every other holiday \n
- ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required (maximum of 2 attempts) \n
- Permanent and per diem employees cannot return to this health system for 1 year following their previous end date \n
- Candidates may work at this health system for a maximum of 18 consecutive months, after which a 6-month break is required \n
- Any background check hits will be reviewed by the facility; open cases will not be accepted \n
- Facility does not accept any license hits \n
- Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements (exemption is temporary and honored until further notice) \n
- All requested time off must be disclosed prior to acceptance of the position \n
