How You’ll Make an Impact
Qualified Screw Set-up & Programming Level Machinist will have exemplary manufacturing skills, a working knowledge and experience as a Citizen Type Swiss Programmer/Machinist. Must have working knowledge and experience working Citizen A-20 and A-32 machines and a dedication to being part of a world class manufacturing team.
What you’ll be doing as a Swiss Machinist:
- Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Fife, WA location supporting our swing shift.
- Setup and program Citizen A-20 and A-32
- Monitor the screw machine, make changes to speed, feed rates or tool position to ensure parts meet blueprint requirements
- Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using standard measuring tools
- Work with small parts and close tolerances (+/-.0001)
- Must be able to develop CNC programs manually or using Mastercam, Partmaker or Espirit.
- Ensure that all traceability for the work is complete according to ISO 9001 procedures
- Meet job standard times with minimal supervision
- Recognize production problems and communicate them to supervisor
- Demonstrate a good attitude and work ethics
- Read and interpret manufacturing and engineering drawings
- Utilize knowledge of G and M codes (use of Mastercam or PartMaker is desirable)
- Follow all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of equipment and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications (Education, skills, and experience):
- Minimum five years’ experience programming and setup of Swiss Type Screw Machines (Citizen, Star, Tsugami)
- Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and can concentrate for long periods of time
- Properly use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, indicators, etc.)
- Mechanically inclined, with good manual dexterity
- Ability to check parts using a microscope
Preferred Qualifications (Education, skills, and experience):
- Minimum 5 years CNC Swiss Type Lathe Experience
- Possess above average planning as well as follow-through capabilities
- Experience with MS applications
- Strong skills and aptitude in math
- Good verbal and writing communication skills
- Completion of vocational or college training in machine shop (Certificate of Completion of basic machining course.)

Work Environment:
A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold. The environment may also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.

The Swiss Machinist Compensation range for onsite Washington applicants is $23/hr - $33/hr commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
