Delivery Driver Class A - Anderson Area (CA, Anderson) - Full-time

Full-Time. 40 hours per week plus overtime required as needed

$26.00-$30.00 DOE

The essential duties of the Delivery Driver will be:

• Make daily inspections of trucks and forklifts
• Maintains a current and active commercial license
• Operate standard forklift and truck mounted forklift
• Keep vehicles clean and orderly
• Operate all equipment as per safety instructions
• Pull and load material as required
• Secure all loads carefully and properly (do not exceed load limits on trucks and forklifts)
• Review delivery instructions and make sure you understand them before you leave the yard
• Pull hardware per delivery order
• Learn computer system and invoice (when necessary)
• Talk to the customer and make sure their needs have been taken care of
• Drive carefully and courteously. Remember, our name is on the truck!
• Report accidents immediately, per our safety policy

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Valid driver’s license/must be insurable required
• Forklift experience, truck mounted forklift experience preferred
• Knowledge of lumber and building materials and products preferred
• Previous driving experience required
• Above average math skills preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate required
• Ability to operate a manual transmission required

Physical demands of the job include:

• Lift 100 lbs.
• Must be able to operate a truck with a manual transmission
• Reach overhead to grasp materials
• Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, with manual dexterity
• Walk on uneven surfaces
• Repeatedly get on and off a forklift
• Extreme climate conditions (summer heat, winter cold)
