As a Load Builder team member, you'll play a key part in building loads quickly, accurately and safely. We need energetic individuals who can work in a fast-paced environment, be active on your feet, provide excellent customer service and help keep the yard running smoothly. Bring your forklift skills and willingness to learn, and we'll teach you the rest! Overtime hours available during our busy season.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate Forklift to move materials and load and unload trucks with accuracy
• Load customer vehicles
• Stock product in yard
• Perform all duties in a safe and alert manner, following company safety policies and procedures
• Locates and pulls product by type, style and quantity and fills order completely, quickly and with accuracy
• Assist truck drivers with unloading of, and returning of, credit items and return to proper storage location
• Complete daily forklift inspections prior to using the lift and report any repairs needed to supervisor
• Keep work area clean and litter free

Skills, Knowledge, and Ability

• Ability to pass forklift certification training course, required
• Minimum of 1 year prior forklift experience, preferred
• Knowledge of building supply products and materials, preferred
• Basic math skills, required
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and co-workers, required
• Able to take direction from others, required
• Valid driver's license, preferred

Physical Demands

• Duties performed entirely outside with exposure to wind, dust, rain and other conditions common to outside work
• Lift up to 100 lbs.
• Reach overhead to grasp materials, manual dexterity to pick up objects 
• Able to climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch through out the work day
• Repetitive climbin on and off of a forklift
• Moderate amounts of sitting, standing, walking, bending
• Able to walk on uneven surfaces
• Abiltiy to work in extreme climate conditions (summer heat, winter cold)

Position located in our Chico, CA location.
Full-Time. 40 hours per week. Store is open Monday through Saturday
$20.00 to $24.00 DOE
