Position Summary
We are seeking a discreet, professional, and proactive VIP Protection Specialist to provide personal protection to high-profile clients, executives, dignitaries, and their families. The successful candidate will ensure the client’s safety, privacy, and comfort through preventive strategies, advance work, secure movements, and continuous risk assessment, exercising exceptional judgment, confidentiality, and situational awareness at all times.

- Job Type: Full-time / As-needed
- Pay: $40 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Protective Operations
- Maintain 24/7 situational awareness and implement measures that minimize risk to the client.
- Conduct protective patrols, escort duties, and perimeter security in immediate environments.
- Ensure safe and secure arrivals, departures, and movements (on foot and by vehicle).
- Employ defensive and evasive tactics in accordance with legal requirements and company policy.
- Respond promptly to threats, emergencies, or medical incidents.
Advance Work & Planning
- Perform site advances to assess vulnerabilities and determine protection requirements.
- Establish contingency plans, evacuation routes, safe rooms, and designated muster areas.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement, venue security, and internal stakeholders as appropriate.
Client Interaction & Discretion
- Maintain a professional, low-profile presence that respects the client’s privacy and preferences.
- Support client logistical needs (movements, transportation, coordination) as directed.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times.
Risk Assessment & Threat Monitoring
- Identify, assess, and communicate real-time threats, suspicious activity, and emerging risks.
- Monitor social media exposure, crowd density, and environmental changes when relevant.
- Document and report observations to the Director of Protective Operations following procedure.
Operational Readiness
- Keep protective equipment, communications gear, and vehicles in optimal condition.
- Comply with required licenses and certifications (e.g., Class D/G, concealed carry permits, defensive driving).
- Maintain physical conditioning, tactical proficiency, and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state security officer license (Class D/G or other applicable license).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in executive protection, law enforcement, military, or dignitary protection.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; protective/defensive driving training preferred.
- Availability for long hours, irregular schedules, overnight protection, and rapid mobilization.
- Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug testing, and client-required security clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
- Executive protection certification from a recognized training institution.
- Medical training: First Aid / CPR / AED, EMT-B, or equivalent certifications.
- Advanced firearms and defensive tactics proficiency.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole).
- Experience supporting high-net-worth individuals, dignitaries, or celebrities.
