What You’ll Be Doing:
• Performing mobile patrols of government, commercial and residential properties
• Conducting site checks, lock-ups, and alarm responses with precision and accountability
• Writing detailed digital reports that are clean, professional, and in real-time
• Providing high-visibility deterrence and building client confidence
• Interacting with dispatch, clients, and team leads while staying mission-focused
• Maintaining your vehicle and uniform to top-tier standards—because optics matter
You’re a Fit If You:
• Have a valid California Guard Card in good standing
• Hold a clean CA Driver’s License and meet insurance requirements
• Can manage multiple stops with accuracy and urgency
• Have certifications in baton, OC spray, firearm, or taser (preferred but not required)
• Can navigate independently, follow digital patrol routes, and document fieldwork like a pro
• Are 21+, able to pass a motor vehicle check, and physically capable of an active shift
Bonus Points For:
• Prior mobile patrol or field response experience
• Current firearms permit, less-lethal certifications, or field training history
• Experience with digital reporting platforms like THERMS, Silvertrac, or Trackforce
• Bilingual (especially English/Spanish)
• Tactical thinking and a problem-solving mindset

Initial Training (Before Applying)
☐ Complete 8-hour BSIS-certified training course:
☐ Power to Arrest (3–4 hours, can be online)
☐ Appropriate Use of Force (5 hours, must be in-person)
Application & Background Check
☐ Apply via BSIS BreEZe online system
☐ Submit Live Scan fingerprint background check (DOJ & FBI)
☐ Pay BSIS application fee (~$50–$60)
First-Year Required Training (Post-Approval)
☐ Complete additional 32 hours of BSIS-mandated training:
☐ 16 hours within first 30 days:
☐ Public Relations (Community & Customer) – 4 hrs
☐ Observation & Documentation – 4 hrs
☐ Communication and Its Significance – 4 hrs
☐ Liability / Legal Aspects – 4 hrs
☐ 16 hours within 6 months:
☐Officer Safety (2 hr)
☐Evacuation Procedures (1 hr)
☐Workplace Violence (1 hr)
☐Arrest, Search & Seizure (4 hr)
☐Handling Difficult People (4 hr)
☐Post Orders & Assignments (2 hr)
☐Driver Safety (1 hr)
☐Fire Safety (1 hr)
Annual Continuing Education
☐ Complete 8-hour refresher course annually
Additional Requirements
☐ Must be at least 18 years old
☐ Cannot begin work until Guard Card is approved OR you have BSIS approval screen-print with photo ID
