UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER for BROWARD COUNTY - Coral Springs area

We are seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to ensure the safety of our educational facilities. The ideal candidate will protect students, staff, and visitors through patrols, security system monitoring, and rapid emergency response. Key Responsibilities - Conduct regular patrols of designated indoor and outdoor areas to detect suspicious activity or protocol violations. - Manage authorized access by verifying IDs, credentials, and inspecting belongings. Operate security systems, including CCTV cameras and alarms, and document incidents in detailed reports. - Assist visitors and staff, resolving conflicts using de-escalation techniques. - Respond to emergencies (medical incidents, fires, natural disasters) by coordinating evacuations and contacting emergency services. - Administer first aid or CPR if trained. RequirementsEducation & Knowledge - High School Diploma or GED. Experience & Skills - Valid Florida Class D Security License. - Proficiency in written and spoken English. - Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods during shifts. - Knowledge of surveillance systems, emergency protocols, and conflict resolution. Competencies - Situational Awareness (Level 3). - Effective Communication (Level 3). - Patrol Procedures (Level 3). Other Requirements Minimum age: 21 years. Willingness to undergo drug testing and background checks. Eligibility to work in the U.S Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
