At NMC Health, we are proud to deliver safe, high-quality care through teamwork, expertise, and dedication. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Pharmacist to join our Hospital Pharmacy Department.
Pharmacists perform all functions of the pharmacy department necessary to ensure the smooth delivery of pharmaceutical services to the organization. This role includes the full spectrum of responsibilities, from dispensing oral and parenteral medications to pharmacokinetic dosing of high-risk medications.
The Pharmacist is also responsible for directing and supporting pharmacy personnel in the safe and effective execution of pharmacy services. This position plays a critical role in ensuring medication safety, accuracy, and optimal patient outcomes.
This position is part-time, scheduled for 48 hours per pay period, and includes day, evening, and weekend shifts with on-call rotation. The role is based in the Hospital Pharmacy Department.
Key Responsibilities Include:Dispensing oral and parenteral medications accurately and safely
Performing pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring of high-risk medications
Preparing and overseeing IV admixtures and total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
Monitoring medication therapy and making appropriate dose adjustments
Ensuring compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Directing and supporting pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff
Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
Supporting safe medication-use practices and quality improvement initiatives
Education:
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
Experience:
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
Pharmacokinetic dosing
IV admixtures and TPN management
Experience with Pyxis or similar automated dispensing systems
Medication monitoring and dose adjustment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Licensure, Registration or Certification:
Licensed in good standing in the State of Kansas
