About this job

STS Metals is a unified organization composed of five businesses working together to deliver high-quality titanium, stainless and alloy steel, and nickel products. We proudly serve the aerospace, medical, industrial, and space industries with a commitment to innovation, manufacturing excellence, and superior customer service.

If you’re someone who likes connecting the dots, keeping things moving, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks, this role is for you. As a Production Control Coordinator at Brown Pacific, you’ll play a critical role in the heartbeat of our manufacturing operation, helping customer orders flow smoothly from release to completion.

You’ll partner closely with production planners, operations, quality, materials, and customer service to track jobs, maintain accurate production status, support schedule adherence, and help resolve day-to-day execution issues. Your work directly impacts on-time delivery, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional or recent graduate who’s eager to build a strong foundation in production planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain and grow from there. You’ll gain hands-on exposure, cross-functional experience, and a clear view of how planning decisions turn into real-world results on the shop floor.

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Track and monitor production work orders from release through completion, ensuring accurate and timely status updates.
  • Coordinate with operations, quality, and materials teams to support the smooth movement of materials and work in progress (WIP) through production.
  • Maintain and update production schedules in the ERP/MRP system and supporting tracking tools.
  • Identify potential delays, material shortages, or capacity constraints and escalate issues to the Production Control Planner or Operations Manager.
  • Assist with daily production meetings by preparing job status updates, reports, and action items.
  • Ensure production travelers, certifications, and required documentation are complete and aligned with job requirements.
  • Interface with customer service and sales regarding order status, schedule changes, and expedited requests.
  • Support reporting on key performance indicators such as on time delivery (OTD), lead time, and WIP aging.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to production flow, visibility, and data accuracy.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to production planning and scheduling activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
