General Laborer - Full-time

Augment Human Resource Services is now hiring a General Laborer to support day-to-day cleaning and maintenance at a busy waste and recycling facility. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a hardworking team.

You’ll be placed on-site at one of our national clients, helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard and operations area.

 

Job Summary

Performs a variety of manual labor tasks under direct supervision, including assisting with site operations, litter control, and other assigned duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks such as lifting and moving materials, loading/unloading vehicles, digging, refilling holes, mowing, and trimming.

• Direct traffic as needed (training provided if necessary).

• Assist with litter control and additional site tasks.

• Operate equipment and tools as required.

• Follow all safety rules and company policies.

• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience:

  • Required: High school diploma or GED; 0–4 years of experience.

  • Preferred: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Skills & Requirements:

  • Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish).

  • Reliable transportation required.

  • Traffic directing experience is a plus (training available).

• Licenses/Certifications: None required.

PPE Requirements

We provide all required personal protective equipment (PPE) except steel-toe boots, which employees must bring.

• Hard hat (provided)

• High-visibility vest (provided if needed)

• Steel-toe boots (employee must provide)

• Long pants (shorts not permitted)

• Eye protection (provided)

Work Environment

• Frequent physical activity, including lifting up to 30 lbs.

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

• Occasional exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and occupational risks (cuts, burns, chemicals).

• Manual labor setting with safety equipment required.
