SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST - Part-time

Job Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist at Dameron Hospital provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients experiencing communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing disorders. This role supports recovery and functional improvement through individualized, evidence-based interventions. The Speech-Language Pathologist adheres to applicable federal, state, and accrediting agency guidelines and serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team. This is a non-union position. 

Essential Functions

• Reviews relevant patient medical information to support clinical decision-making before and during treatment
• Conducts and documents comprehensive assessments for communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing function
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans aligned with patient goals and physician orders
• Monitors patient progress, adjusts interventions as needed, and documents all care in accordance with hospital policy
• Instructs and directs support staff and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in accordance with national and state practice regulations
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, care planning, and discharge preparation
• Contributes to data collection and quality outcomes initiatives within the department
• Performs other related duties as assigned by Physical Therapy Management
