Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position in Urbana, IL, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience.

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
\n
• 36 hours per week, no on-call requirements
\n
• NICU setting caring for neonatal patients
\n
• Responsibilities include monitoring intake/output, assisting with breastfeeding initiation, and participating in multi-disciplinary rounds
\n
• 5 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
\n
• Every other holiday coverage required
\n
• No floating requirements
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active IL RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
\n
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
\n
• Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)
\n
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience
\n
• ASN required; BSN preferred
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify
\n

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments, develops and modifies individualized care plans, and implements nursing interventions for neonatal patients
\n
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation to support continuity of care across the healthcare team
\n
• Administers medications using barcode scanning technology
\n
• Supports patient and staff safety by identifying and reporting hazards
\n
• Candidate selection involves a leader interview
\n
• RTO may not exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract
\n
• Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any of their locations
\n
