American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position in Urbana, IL, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience.

- Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week \n
- 36 hours per week, no on-call requirements \n
- NICU setting caring for neonatal patients \n
- Responsibilities include monitoring intake/output, assisting with breastfeeding initiation, and participating in multi-disciplinary rounds \n
- 5 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule \n
- Every other holiday coverage required \n
- No floating requirements \n
- Epic EMR experience required \n

- Active IL RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted) \n
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) \n
- Current NRP certification (American Heart Association) \n
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience \n
- ASN required; BSN preferred \n
- Epic EMR experience required \n
- Level 1 Trauma experience required \n
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify \n

- Performs comprehensive patient assessments, develops and modifies individualized care plans, and implements nursing interventions for neonatal patients \n
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation to support continuity of care across the healthcare team \n
- Administers medications using barcode scanning technology \n
- Supports patient and staff safety by identifying and reporting hazards \n
- Candidate selection involves a leader interview \n
- RTO may not exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract \n
- Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any of their locations \n
