Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist (OR tech) to join a leading acute care hospital in Torrance, California. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced operating room environment supporting a broad range of surgical specialties, including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Gynecology, and Endoscopy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain operating rooms for surgical procedures.
- Establish and maintain sterile fields while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating needs and passing instruments and supplies.
- Perform instrument processing, sterilization, and disinfection as required.
- Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and care of surgical equipment.
- Support patient safety initiatives and contribute to efficient surgical workflows.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience required.
- Hospital experience required.
- Active BLS certification required.
- NBSTSA certification preferred.
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
- Must be willing to float to affiliated facilities as needed.
