American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of CVOR experience and an active Compact or LA RN license
Details\n- \n
- Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital environment \n
- Handles 10-25 cases per day across 7 rooms \n
- Day shift schedule (5x8 hours), 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM \n
- Weekend rotation of 2 weekends per 6-week schedule \n
- On-call responsibilities required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays \n
- No call-in shifts required \n
- Epic charting system experience preferred \n
- \n
- Active RN license (Compact or LA) required in hand upon submission \n
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA certifications required) \n
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, including CVOR experience \n
- Must live 65+ miles from the facility to qualify \n
- Up-to-date NURSYS report required (within 4 weeks of submission) \n
- Two Manager/Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RNs not accepted) \n
- \n
- Perform circulating and scrub RN duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, neurology, cardiovascular, general surgery, urology, thoracic, and plastics procedures \n
- Utilize specialized equipment such as cell saver, electrosurgical units, Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, and Steris equipment \n
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring on-site presence during emergency events, with pay details communicated per event \n
- Green scrubs provided by the facility \n
- Orientation held 5 days a week \n
- First-time travelers will be considered as long as they have sufficient OR experience \n
- RTO must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process to avoid offer rescission \n
- Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation from the health system before returning as a travel RN \n
