Role overviewAs the Plant Reliability and Maintenance Supervisor, you will guide a crew of multi-craft technicians who maintain both production assets and facilities systems. Your mission: ensure equipment meets design throughput and uptime targets while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
A day in the life- Plan, assign, and perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs across plant machinery and facility equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and control issues, replace or rebuild components, and return assets to service safely and efficiently.
- Install, relocate, and commission production equipment; verify performance to specification.
- Verify shop conditions, tools, and machines are safe; ensure tools are maintained, secured, and in good working order.
- Coordinate handoffs during shift changes; serve as backup for team members and the shift leader as needed.
- Capture work history accurately through data entry and recordkeeping.
- Identify training needs; coach technicians and operators, including support for Certified Trainer designations.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, 6S, and problem-solving activities.
- Promote safe work practices, address quality concerns, and drive productivity to established standards.
- Support additional responsibilities aligned with operational priorities.
- This is a full-time, on-site leadership role within a team-based manufacturing setting where dependable, on-time attendance is essential to safety and success.
- Business needs may require mandatory overtime to maintain safe staffing and production continuity beyond scheduled shifts.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's/technical degree or equivalent experience required.
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience; prior leadership exposure strongly preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude across plant systems; ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Working knowledge of equipment controls; competent with computers and CMMS/data entry.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and a continuous learning mindset.
- Clear communication with cross-functional partners; sound judgment for timely decisions.
- Basic math proficiency; valid forklift-driving capability.
- Proven ability to train operators; commitment to taking on additional responsibilities.
- Demonstrated leadership (e.g., leading safety talks, serving on quality teams) and participation in formal leadership development.

**Physical Requirements: **
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs multiple times throughout the shift.
- Must possess good manual and mechanical dexterity to perform job duties.
- Remove tooling and properly reassemble using basic hand tools. Basic motor skills are required to perform the necessary mechanical aspects of this job in an efficient manner.
- Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds multiple times throughout shift.
- Must be able to wear required safety equipment.
- Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the roles within their assigned team.
