Accounts Receivable Representative

TFG is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Representative to join our team in our Metairie, LA office location. This role plays an important part in supporting the company's accounts receivable operations, with a strong focus on monitoring customer accounts, following up on past-due balances, and maintaining timely collections.

The ideal candidate is comfortable communicating with customers regarding outstanding payments, staying on top of account activity, and balancing multiple priorities while maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts for delinquent balances and proactively follow up on outstanding invoices through phone calls and email.
• Contact customers regarding past-due payments, address payment-related questions, and work toward resolving outstanding balances.
• Maintain consistent follow-up on overdue accounts and document collection efforts, customer communications, and payment updates.
• Respond to customer inquiries professionally and assist with resolving account discrepancies or payment concerns.
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable records and organized supporting documentation.
• Assist with payment posting and other accounts receivable or finance-related tasks as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years of administrative experience.
• 2+ years of collections experience. 
• Experience in accounts receivable and payment posting.
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize follow-ups, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence communicating with customers about outstanding balances.
