Administration Office Additional Information: - Monitor and maintain accurate records for accounts receivables.
- Perform and document collection activities; including processing payments, initiating contact via phone calls, emails and USPS mailings
- Coordinate with outside collection agencies as necessary
- Run RecTrac reports for various facilities that process POS through RecTrac and interface dailies into LOCIS system.
- Perform routine billing activities as assigned (RecTrac and LOCIS).
- Process ACH, EFT and Credit Card transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of Decatur Airport tenants and vendors
- Generate invoices on a regular basis
- Assist with preparatory work for the annual audit
- Maintain records accuracy through the use of spreadsheets
- Serve as the Park District's backup receptionist on multi-line phone system.
- Assist with registering customers for activities and selling tickets for various Park District Events.
- Serve as back up for Accounts Payable Clerk.
- Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned

SUMMARY
Perform accounting responsibilities as required for the Decatur Park District including collections to maintain accounts receivables. Assist the Director of the Decatur Airport with accounting and administrative tasks for Decatur Airport. Interaction with public as well as interaction with Park District personnel is required. Maintaining a high level of knowledge about the Park District and its programs is essential. Answering the telephone, assisting with processing registrations for activities/special events, processing and performing other general office work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
Experience working in an office environment is required. Prior customer service experience required. Previous experience working with a point-of-sale system (POS) and interfacing POS with a financial package is beneficial. Working knowledge of WORD and EXCEL is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to write routine emails and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must be able to clearly speak and communicate with customers and staff. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Position requires working knowledge/understanding of computers/software/network operations. Proficiency in Microsoft software is necessary with an emphasis in Excel.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
