Rastelli?s is looking to hire a Security Guard to join our growing team in Swedesboro, New Jersey.

Job Overview: A security guard is responsible for controlling access to Rastelli Foods Group owned and operated locations. The primary duty is to ensure that only authorized personnel and vehicles are permitted to enter the premises. Additionally, provide a visible deterrent to potential intruders and may assist emergency services if required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify credentials (such as identification badges or permits) of all personnel entering the premises.
• Check vehicle identification, including license plates, registration, and safety inspection certificates.
• Observe and report any perceived current or potential threats to property, persons or other company owned assets located on-site.
• Handling phone calls or radio communication with various other departments to ensure seamless arrival and departure of trucks, trailers and visitors to and from the site.
• Record the names of persons, vehicles, and other necessary details in the logbook.
• Thorough handling and documentation of all incoming and outgoing truck deliveries of essential goods and/or trailers coming in and out of the property. The documentation required includes but is not limited to; truck identification numbers, trailer seals, load deliveries, verifying delivery times, etc.
• Communicate with property owners or management teams to report incidents, potential security breaches, or general inquiries from visitors.
• Assist emergency services (fire, police, or ambulance) in gaining access to the property in times of emergency.
• Conducting routine patrols of the exterior property, ensuring all doors, gates, or other means of entrance to the property and/or building are secured at all times.
• Routine inspection and documentation of trailer temperatures to ensure stored products remain in good condition.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a security-related field (law enforcement or military preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to greet workers or visitors professionally.
• Knowledge of basic security procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.

Physical Demands:

• Standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Periodic, intermittent walking encompassing interior and exterior locations
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Adequate hearing and visual capabilities, including seeing in dimly lit areas.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily performed indoors with routine outside patrols.
• May require rotating shifts or weekend work.
• Work environments will primarily consist of an heated/air-conditioned office located at the main entrance to the property.

Full time position Monday -Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at our 300 Heron Drive Swedesboro, NJ 08085 location

Pay Range: $19.00 per hour
