Pharmacy Technician (PRN)

Looking to add flexibility to your schedule? This PRN role is perfect for a Pharmacy Technician who can step in whenever coverage is needed. You�ll provide coverage as needed for call-outs, vacations, and holidays while gaining valuable hospital pharmacy experience.

CompleteRx is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (PRN) to support a 284-bed acute care hospital at South Shore Hospital in South Chicago.

Pay Rate: $21 an hour

2nd Shift Pay Differential: $1.65 per hour

Pharmacy Shifts Include As Needed:

• Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm / 2pm - 10pm
• Saturday and Sunday, 7am - 3pm / 12pm - 8pm

What You Will Do

• Ensures procurement and distribution of drug orders.
• Identifies and fills replacement medications on emergency crash carts, OR carts, and floor stock accurately.
• Prepares sterile products (including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition) accurately.
• Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately.
• Rotates stock to ensure use before the expiration date.
• Picks up orders, requisitions, and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds.
• Enters charges and credits for patient medications accurately.
• Identifies and replaces outdated and unusable drugs.

What You Will Need

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of pharmacy technician experience preferably in a hospital setting.
• Possess current pharmacy technician registration in the State of Illinois.
• Successful completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training course is preferred.
