About this job
Job Description
Imagine this: It’s a crisp morning at Teknor Apex—an employee-centered, family-led materials innovator founded in 1924. You start at 8:00am, run through your forklift checklist, and get right to the heart of the operation: moving materials safely and efficiently so customers get exactly what they need, when they need it. By afternoon, you’ve unloaded a trailer, re-slotted inventory to open up space, and connected a rail car despite the weather. You wrap the day by helping prep for the next physical inventory cycle. That impact is real—and it’s yours.
How you’ll make a difference
- Operate forklifts to stage, load, and relocate pallets and materials throughout the warehouse
- Ensure every load is properly secured and free from damage
- Keep the facility orderly and safe; follow SOPs diligently
- Complete the Forklift Operator Daily Checklist before operating equipment
- Connect and disconnect rail cars on a daily basis, in all weather conditions
- Cross-train on a turret truck and assist with space utilization and inventory transfers
- Support other tasks as needed to help the team win
- Participate in monthly and year-end raw material physical inventories
What you’ll need to succeed
- Ability to read English and perform basic math accurately
- Proven forklift operating experience
- Detail orientation and strong written/verbal communication
- High school diploma or GED
Shift: 8:00am to 5:00pm
