Seeking an expereince Medical Front Desk Coordinator who has expereince with scheduling appointments. Must have 2-3 years medical office expereince and this is a REQUIREMENT.
The schedule is Monday-Thursday from 8am-4:30pm and will have Fridays off. Seeking someone who is reliable and is open to cross training in different areas of the practice. The location is WEST KNOXVILLE AREA
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments accurately and efficiently
- Manage provider schedules to ensure optimal patient flow and minimize gaps or overbooking
- Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner, in person and by phone
- Answer multi-line phones and direct calls appropriately
- Verify patient demographics and update information in the system
- Coordinate appointment reminders via phone, text, or email
- Handle check-in and check-out processes
- Collect co-pays and process payments as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office environment
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding scheduling needs and changes
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- Previous front desk or medical office experience required
- Proven experience scheduling appointments in a medical or professional setting
- Strong knowledge of scheduling systems or EMR/EHR software preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a medical, dental, or behavioral health office
- Familiarity with insurance verification and basic billing (a plus)
- Bilingual skills (preferred but not required)
