Position:
Discovery Cube is seeking a proactive and motivated Membership and Ticketing (Admissions) professional to support front-of-house operations with a strong focus on POS systems and sales. This position reports directly to the Memberships and Guest Services Managers and is responsible for processing parking and ticket sales, converting onsite ticket holders into members, maintaining accurate membership records, and delivering exceptional guest service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and current information to future and existing members
- Work within a team to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goal.
- Understand and use the Galaxy Point of Sale program as needed
- Provide friendly and professional interaction with both guests and staff
- Engage with guests while on the floor and interacting with exhibits
- Provide helpful information about Discovery Cube and its offerings
- Provide great customer service at our Parking Booth (as needed) and off-site lots ensuring accuracy of sales and availability
- Ensuring precise handling of cash payments and correct change issuance
- Additional projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
- High school diploma or comparable work experience
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and special events
- Ability to work in indoor or outdoor spaces with varying temperatures
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work independently with little oversight
- Excellent interpersonal skills; this person must be charismatic, friendly and enjoy speaking with guests
- Quick to learn and be able to manage high volume and stressful situations
- Strong upselling and customer service skills
Preferred
- Bilingual a plus
- Experience working with children, families, or in an educational or museum setting
- Sales experience, particularly with memberships, programs, or subscriptions
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
