Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist who excels in patient care and demonstrates strong communication and collaboration skills with clients, team members, and the team lead. This role requires independence, proven performance, and proficiency across a variety of healthcare settings. Candidates must be comfortable working with patients of all ages, particularly geriatric patients, and be adaptable in nursing homes, patient service centers, and clinical environments.
Pay and Benefits:
- $16.00 per hour base pay
- $2.00 per hour bonus for eligible shift differentials

Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and organize blood, tissue, and other bodily fluid samples from patients of all age ranges
- Appropriately label samples for routine testing and analysis
- Accurately enter patient data, order choices, and specimen details into the system
- Monitor inventory and manage supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Package specimens for transport
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service to patients and clients
Required Qualifications:
- Venipuncture experience with all age ranges
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in email communication and basic computer functions
- Licensure - National phlebotomy certification required; Louisiana state phlebotomy certification preferred but not mandatory
- All candidates must pass a background check in compliance with Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) guidelines, particularly for positions in nursing homes or other monitored healthcare facilities
- Clean driving record
- High school diploma; GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Phlebotomy: Minimum 1-2 years of experience
License/Certification:
- Nationally Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Required)
- Valid Driver’s License (Required)
