Bucknell University is seeking a Graphics Specialist to edit, preflight, and produce a variety of graphic files. This role involves operating and maintaining printing, mounting, laminating, and finishing equipment, while ensuring all files follow brand standards and that final products meet quality expectations.The successful candidate will respond to general department questions, assist customers with submitting graphic requests, review incoming requests, and recommend appropriate printing methods, finishing options, and materials. The Graphics Specialist will also prioritize, schedule, and complete requests using the print management system to create and manage work orders. Additional responsibilities include general office duties such as assisting customers in person and distributing campus mail.
Job Duties:
Reporting RelationshipThis position will report to the Director of Publications, Print & Mail
Work Setting/ScheduleThis position will be scheduled to work on-campus, Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 4:00pm. Occasional overtime may be required.
What You Will DoOperates small and large format printing, mounting, and laminating equipment. Performs routine maintenance and troubleshoots printers and cutter to finetune and effectively use the features and functions of the machine. Inspects finished pieces for quality. Prepares completed works for delivery or pickup and assist with graphic installation.
Designs print and digital communications. Sets up files for printing and cutting specs. Pre-flights and makes necessary edits to customer provided files. Sends proofs of designed or edited files to customer for approval. Ensures that all projects adhere to established University brand standards.
Responds to questions, orders, and requests submitted to Graphic Services. Reaches out to customers with questions about their orders or requests. Recommends printing, finishing, and stock options to creatively and effectively produce projects that best suit customers' needs.
Reviews orders submitted via graphic service requests and the online storefront. Prioritizes work and schedule production to meet the specified deadlines.
Greets all customers in a friendly and professional manner. Answers questions and performs while-you-wait requests. Assists customers with the pickup of completed work. Helps with the distribution of campus mail.

Required
High school diploma or GED, with a focus on graphic design or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of related experience
Preferred, But Not Required
4 years of work in graphic design or a related field
This position works in an office environment with no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.

17.16-21.45The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
