Federated Co-ops, Inc. is looking to hire an Area Delivery Driver to work out of our Cambridge Fuels location and support the surrounding areas. This critical position will focus on bulk fuel and propane delivery and grow to be a company support driver for existing routes and drivers where needed, including Agriculture product delivery. The Area Delivery Driver will focus on delivering high-quality, customer-focused service in a safe and efficient manner. During the winter season, this position will work primarily delivering fuel or propane across our trade territory to retail and business locations, filling in where support is needed. During the spring or fall seasons, this position may also step in to help our Agriculture product delivery team as needed. Class A license holders may also support bulk delivery if needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Area Delivery Driver include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Load delivery vehicle with bulk propane, fuel or Ag products as needed working the Cambridge area region supporting locations as they deliver products to customers at various company, worksite and home locations.
- Delivery of product involves loading into the truck and delivering to company or customers’ facilities or storage tanks in accordance to company, division, and location policy and procedures.
- Drives and operates transport and product delivery trucks, vehicles, equipment, and tools safely and efficiently by following all D.O.T. regulations, company policies, manufactures instructions, State and local laws and codes, and any other applicable laws, codes or regulations.
- Grow the business by providing excellent service and assisting the Sales Department with calls and potential sales target areas.
- Inspect and maintain the bulk facility, bulk trucks and equipment continuously to ensure cleanliness, safety, proper operation, and positive cooperative image.
- Provide required inspection and routine maintenance as needed.
- Documents all work as required by the company, division, and location policy.
