JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
At our Denver facility we are looking for a night shift production worker who picks copper and fluff off moving conveyor, cleans around mill and or MRP, assists shredder mechanics in changing out conveyors, bearing shafts and greasing. CF&I Recycling is committed to maintaining and promoting a safe, healthy and injury-free environment. It is required for all jobs.
- Keeps the work area clean and ready for daily operations.
- Ensures conveyor bearings are clean and properly greased.
- Sorts only copper and ASR to ensure quality material is shipped to customers.
- Reports any issues immediately as they arise.
- Assists shredder mechanics during projects.
- Assists in meeting monthly production goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Performs lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before working on any plant equipment.
- Cross-trains in other departments to provide coverage during short staffing or call-ins.
Requirements
- Completion of High School and/or equivalent
- Occasional additional hours, including weekends, may be required depending on operational needs
- Ability to push, pull and lift materials up to 40 lbs.
- Standing for up to 12 hours, regular walking, squatting and climbing
- Mechanically inclined
- Self-motivated: Initiates and takes action before being required to do so
- Strong work ethic: uses time efficiently, work safely and making sure everyone around them are working safely
- Strong command of the English language both written and spoken
- Some Recycling/Mining experience will be considered an asset
COMPENSATION
Hourly rate: $22 - $26
