Material Handler (2026-013) (WA, Kirkland) - Full-time

Astronics AES in Kirkland, WA is hiring a Material Handler on First Shift. Hours are Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm.

JOB SUMMARY

The Material Handler will manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor in relation to managing materials for the production line.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Stock and distribute products and materials in inventory warehouses and manufacturing lines
• Package and prepare products and merchandise for the shipping clerk.
• Prepare and maintain records of items shipped (i.e. purchase orders, manual shippers, and work orders)
• Perform daily cycle counts
• Periodically rotate in RECEIVING for cross training
• May drive a non-CDL box truck for deliveries
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrates familiarity of job duties (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the duties and responsibilities?of the position)

Technical Skills:

• Data base user interface and query software
• Electronic mail software
• Enterprise resource planning ERP software
• Inventory management software
• Spreadsheet software
• Label making software
• Materials requirements planning logistics and supply chain software

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing environment
• Time Pressure
• Operating a forklift, pallet jack and/or manlift operator
• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting heavy (typically 30 lbs) items

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by?International Traffic in Arms Regulations?(ITAR).?Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.
• An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and?drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.

Salary is $20.00 - $21.00 per hour dependant on experience.
