Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for our client. This job is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical facilities and plant structures, diagnosing and rebuilding complex machinery, and installing or troubleshooting electrical/mechanical equipment including PLCs and instrumentation. You’ll handle building repairs, support technicians as needed, and ensure reliable operation of pumps, boilers, HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related systems.

What’s a Typical Day Like?

Maintains and repairs all mechanical facilities and physical structures throughout the plant including pumps, boilers, air, water, reactor
Uses hand and power tools in performing tasks
Diagnoses problems, tears down, repairs and re-assembles intricate mechanisms and machines
Installs, adjusts tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies various electrical/mechanical equipment, electrical controls, PLC’s and instrumentation.
Performs repairs on buildings, roofs, structures and furniture
Assists technicians and performs other duties as assigned

What Are the Requirements of the Job?

HS Diploma or GED required, additional education/certifications preferred
Must be available for possible mandatory overtime and weekend work
Must be able to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical
Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
Must have work experience in the following areas and be able to take a test demonstrating proficiency in Arc welding, Mig welding. TIG welding, Stick welding, PLCs, Electric, VFDs, HVAC, Pumps, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Gearboxes
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Communication skills.
