BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST
The Behavioral Supports Specialist/QBHA is responsible for providing group and individual therapeutic support to dually diagnosed justice involved individuals. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team and provides skills training, psychosocial rehabilitation, supportive services, advocacy, and coaching. As part of our team, you will assist individuals throughout their treatment process, helping them gain skills, access resources, and regain the confidence to succeed in society. This role requires good judgement and flexibility in responding to crisis to follow up with supportive services to participants, provide focus and directed oversight, communication, and coordination. This is a 24/7 program and may re-quire night and weekend coverage for the safety and well-being of all clients residing in the facility. Shifts may change to meet the requirements of daily operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides individual and group behavioral support services.
- Implements and monitorsbehavioral support interventions.
- Collaborates effectively with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Records, maintains, and documents accurate patient records.
- Provides trauma-informed care and practices.
- Maintains effective interpersonal relations with clients, peers, subordinates, upper management, visitors, and thegeneral public.
- Collaborates with other service providers and community resources to ensure clients receive comprehensive services.
- Frequently travels within Colorado State as needed.
- Participates in case conferences and team meetings to ensure effective integrated service delivery.
- Provides crisis intervention when necessary.
- Participates in ongoing professional development and training.
- Adheres to ethical and professional standards set by relevant licensing bodies.
- Promotes and demonstrates the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Embrave.
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with all departments, the management team, regulatory agencies and community partners.

EDUCATION/ WORK EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Requires a QBHA certification from the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).
