Assistant Manager
Overview
The Assistant Manager assists the General Manager with sales and management of soccer programs (leagues, tournaments, and rentals), day-to-day facility operations, and staff supervision. This role requires a flexible shift pattern and a proactive approach to business growth and customer experience.
Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Prospect new business and clients, achieving or exceeding individual and center sales goals.
Implement sales tactics for leagues, tournaments, and rental re-bookings.
Design and execute customer retention strategies, fostering personal relationships with team captains and players.
Operations & Program Management
Plan, monitor, and schedule all soccer programs to ensure seamless execution.
Maintain high customer service standards across all operations.
Oversee day-to-day facility management alongside the General Manager.
Staff Supervision & Training
Assist in hiring, training, and performance reviews for staff.
Lead, train, and supervise all club employees, ensuring a productive and motivated workforce.
Attend weekly management and staff meetings for effective communication.
General Responsibilities
Support the General Manager in executing delegated projects and responsibilities.
Perform additional duties as required, in alignment with the role.
Qualifications
Leadership & Sales Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in sales and management within soccer organizations.
Strong understanding of the soccer industry and local soccer market.
Customer-Focused & Entrepreneurial Mindset:
Passion for creating, growing, and managing soccer leagues, tournaments, and events.
Strong relationship management skills and dedication to customer satisfaction.
Organizational & Communication Skills:
Ability to effectively plan and organize work to ensure a smooth facility operation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Spanish language skills highly valued.
Education:
College degree strongly preferred.
