Pay Range: $27.64-$30.71

Essential Functions:

Reads work orders/load sheets or follows oral instructions to ascertain that all product is on the truck and delivered in a safe and timely manner.
Loads and unloads products from delivery truck using hand trucks and pallet jacks on some routes.
Knowledge of all products both current and new.
Always maintain the correct temperature of your truck/trailer.
Observe all driving laws, safe and defensive driving is very important.
Make sure your load is secure before moving.
Learn to operate the Handheld Route accounting computer and printer assigned to each driver
Keep delivery truck clear of clutter and clean up spills.
Report vehicle and safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
Transfer inner office mail and pick up freight when applicable.
Mount tire chains on specified tires as needed (subject to weather conditions)
Confirm load is of legal weight
Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Commercial Driver’s License, Class A, minimum 18 months driving experience
Current Medical Examination Card
Ability to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work in a variety of environments
Ability to work in a team environment with cooler, other transport drivers and depot warehouse workers.
Ability to safely drive in all conditions weather
Good written and oral communication skills
Good math skills
Ability to work under pressure, be organized and efficiently manage time
Maintain a good personal appearance
Must be responsible and reliable
