Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Boston, MA, requiring high-risk L&D experience, ACLS, NRP, and an active MA RN license.

Details\n

\n
• Labor & Delivery unit within a high-volume tertiary care hospital setting
\n
• Handles a wide range of deliveries including VBACs, Cesarean sections, and natural births
\n
• Level III NICU on site; unit manages high-risk and complex obstetric cases
\n
• 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
\n
• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) and 2 Friday shifts required per 6-week schedule block
\n
• One 12-hour on-call shift required per 6-week schedule
\n
• May float between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units
\n
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
\n
• No float outside of L&D/Postpartum required
\n
• 13-week contract
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
\n
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
\n
• Minimum experience in Labor & Delivery required, including postpartum (PP) float capability
\n
• Tertiary or high-risk L&D experience required
\n
• First-time travelers will not be considered
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be accepted
\n
• Previous employees (travel, permanent, or per diem) of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility must have been separated for at least one year to be considered
\n
• Orientation is held weekly, every Monday (excluding holidays)
\n
• A hiring manager interview is required; candidates should have availability ready
\n
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration
\n
• COVID vaccine with booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions are accepted)
\n
• Flu vaccine documentation required during flu season
\n
• Public transportation is available near the facility; on-site parking can be expensive
\n
