About this job
Job Description
Amigo builds AI agents that deliver healthcare autonomously—AI doctors, AI nurses, and AI care coordinators. Our agents handle clinical workflows and patient engagement across the entire patient journey: pre-visit intake, triage, care navigation, post-visit care plans, side effect management, and medication adherence. Context-aware with memory across sessions and the ability to take clinical action.
We own outcomes, not just delivery. For our customers, we're responsible for agent performance: clinical safety, continuous improvement, measurable patient outcomes. Agents operate autonomously within bounded clinical domains, with clear scope and handoff protocols. That scope expands as we validate performance across populations.
We're fresh off our Series A from Tier 1 investors like General Catalyst, GSV Ventures, SVA, and CohoVC. Our work is validated with leading academic medical institutions. We're currently reaching 1M+ patient interactions every 90 days, and are on track to 10x this year.
As a Senior Software Engineer (Infra) at Amigo, you'll build the foundational infrastructure that powers our platform at global scale. You'll design and implement core systems that handle millions of conversations across multiple regions while meeting diverse regulatory requirements. This role combines deep technical expertise in distributed systems with practical experience building production infrastructure that operates reliably across healthcare, finance, and other regulated industries.

Maintain infrastructure as code of our infra, ensuring clearly documented and identical deployments across regions
Implement data residency and sovereignty controls for regulated industries
Perform cost optimizations that balance performance with regulatory requirements
4+ years of production infrastructure experience at scale
Strong experience with cloud platforms and multi-region deployments
Deep knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies
Strong experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Deep knowledge of end-to-end monitoring and observability tools
Experience with database administration and backup/recovery procedures, preferably with a NoSQL database
Understanding of security best practices and regulatory compliance requirements in regulated industries

Experience in healthcare, finance, or other heavily regulated industries, with knowledge of specific regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, SOX, etc.)
Experience with high-performance computing and distributed systems at scale
Background with high-availability, mission-critical systems
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
