Job Description
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider (AHA or ARC).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (AHA or ARC).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
Certification Details
- Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
- Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and patients.
- Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects.
- Performs bedside point of care testing as required.
- Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient/family needs.
- Consults with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues.
- Participates in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities.
- Promotes a safe, clean and secure hospital environment.
- Recognizes data from complex situations to determine priorities for care.
- Collaborates with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care.
- Reads journals applicable to practice and brings ideas to staff for assessment.
Job Details
- One (1) year of nursing experience required.
- Must have previous Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience.
- Able to circulate for C-sections.
- Able to triage for OB.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
Job Requirements
- Nights shift.
- 12 hours per day.
- 36 hours per week.

Unit Specific Information
- Preferred Education: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Required Education: Nursing Diploma or ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing.
